New York City is by far one of my favorite cities on earth. Ever since I was a young child I have been visiting the city. For most of my college years I believed I would end up here because I loved it so much. Once graduated from my undergrad I was lucky enough to live in NYC for many months for modeling. During my time here I only fell more in love with it. There is an energy about the city that cannot be replicated. If it weren’t for the horrible winters, NYC would definitely be my future home.
While living in the city I got into a routine of favorite activities and favorite food spots. As a model in the city you really do not have that much work until fashion week, which was great for exploring. I also lived in the East Village, which in my opinion was perfectly located. It is just south of the touristy midtown, but not quite the Financial District. I could get to anywhere in under an hour from where I lived via the Subway, my new favorite mode of transportation.
In my months of living there I made sure to do everything possible. I went to ALL the healthy restaurants, all the cool workout places, and of course all the healthy dessert places. I also explored museums, the parks, touristy spots, and all of the neighborhoods. I was truly living my best life because NYC is the top 5 places to live if you are Paleo.
Because I am so obsessed with NYC I made two sections for it: food/restaurants and activities. One page just wouldn’t be enough to explain my love for this city. I consider my self a local of NYC after living there, so definitely take time to check out these spots!
