This is my go to recipe for a healthier caramel sauce. It is refined sugar free and dairy free, plus way easier to make than the traditional stovetop caramel. The secret ingredient is dates! You use both pitted dates and date syrup for this recipe. My favorite brand is Date Lady, you can use code “CLEANKITCHEN” for %15 percent off their products.

I am a HUGE fan of dates for sweet treats in my life. They are much better than traditional processed sugars. Because they they are a fruit, they have tons of vitamins and minerals that normal sugars do not have, plus they are great for digestion. The date syrup is what I use for every day sugar replacement. I notice my body reacts much better to date syrup and dates than normal sugars.
