I always make my own salad dressings. Homemade salad dressings are super easy, taste way better than bottled and have way cleaner ingredients.

If you follow this simple ratio for salad dressing, then you can make them with ease. I always do 1 part acid, such as citrus or vinegar, 3 parts oil, salt, 2 tsp mustard to help emulsify, and a sweetener. I keep that as my foundation and get creative from there!

You can make it in a blender, or whisk by hand, but it is so easy and can be finished in 5 minutes.

For choosing sweeteners, I like to stick to honey or date syrup. Both are light and blend easily with the flavors, where as maple syrup has too strong of a flavor. The date syrup I LOVE is Date Lady’s. You can use this link or code “CLEANKITCHEN15” for 15% off their products.
