I recently went to Mayfield, one of my favorite Mediterranean restaurants in Orange County, and on one of the dishes they had fried chickpeas. The dish was great, but the highlight was the chickpeas, so I knew I had to go home and make a copycat that was healthier.

Instead of frying you can use the air fryer or oven. It is a super simple recipe that you can use for snacking, on salads, or in dishes for a fun crunch! Trust me they are amazing.

  • SERVINGS:  2 cups
  • PREP TIME: 5 Mins
  • COOK TIME: 15 Mins
  • TOTAL TIME: 20 Min

Ingredients:

  • 1, 16 oz can of chickpeas, drained
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Preparation:

STEP 1.

Toss all the ingredients in the bowl and evenly coat.

STEP 2.

Air fry or roast at 400*F for 15 minutes, until the chickpeas are crispy.

STEP 3.

Once crispy, remove and enjoy!
