Knife skills and knife safety are one of the most important things when learning how to cook. I have started a knife skills series where I demo all kinds of different cuts and techniques! Better knife skills = better cooking and better safety!

Ingredients:

  • 1 bell pepper

Preparation:

STEP 1.

Cut off the stem side of the bell pepper.

STEP 2.

Work your way inside of the body of the bell pepper, cutting through the ribs and around the seeds, so the seeds come out cleanly.

STEP 3.

Dice both the bottom, the stem side, and the body of the bell pepper, using the bear claw technique with your fingers, tucking fingertips underneath your knuckles. Cut the bell pepper skin side down for ease.
