It is summer, which for me that means it is Ninja Creami season! I am obsessed with my Ninja Creami, which for those who don’t know is an ice cream maker that simplifies the process by using Pacojet technology. Pacojets have been around for a long time in restaurants for making ice cream, and the Ninja Creami recently commercialized it very well for at home users. It is great because you can make dairy free ice cream, traditional, sorbets, pretty much anything, including protein packed ice creams. My go to protein ice cream recipe is this Oreo flavored nice cream. I have been making it for the past year and it has a whopping 40+ grams of protein, while still tasting like delicious ice cream.
Key Ingredients and Substitutions:
- Almond Milk – I use almond milk to make this dairy free. However you can use any milk of choice!
- Vanilla and Chocolate Isopure Plant Based Protein Powder – use code “KELLY15” for 15% off these powders!
- Jet Black Cocoa – This is the cocoa powder used in Oreos to make them dark and taste the way that they do! You can also use normal cocoa here, but it won’t have as much of that Oreo flavor.
- Maple Syrup – You can use any sweetener of choice here.
