I am currently on a huge potato kick…and have been for the past few years. That’s why I wrote an entire book, Potato People, filled with my favorite potato recipes. From gnocchi to fries to potato leek soup, the book features 44 of the best potato recipes—all gluten-free!

If I had to pick my favorite recipe from the book, it would be the gluten-free latkes. Since I have celiac disease, I can’t eat traditional latkes, which are made with flour. So, I knew I had to add my gluten-free latke recipe to this book, and I’ve made them at least 20 times this year because they’re just that good.

Latkes are delicious potato pancakes, typically made with grated potatoes, onions, eggs, and flour. You fry them until golden and sprinkle with flaky sea salt. They’re super popular in Jewish cuisine, especially around the holidays (someone please invite me to a Hanukkah celebration this year!). But truly, the latkes in my book are the best!
