Grilled Romaine Salad

If you’ve never tried grilled lettuce, you’re in for a treat! This salad was one of the most popular dishes at a Napa restaurant where I used to work, and it’s shockingly easy to make—with fewer than five ingredients. It transforms plain romaine into something with a fun texture and flavor you wouldn’t expect. A must-try for your next grilling session!

Key Ingredients & Substitutions:

  • Romaine Lettuce – I find this is the best lettuce to grill, however any big leafy green will work.
  • Olive oil – Or any oil of choice.
  • Lemon Juice – Or any citrus of choice.
  • Parmesan Cheese – This is just a nice topping to compliment the charred lettuce. Any cheese of choice works here.
