I absolutely hate when I am craving banana bread but my bananas are not quite ripe enough to make it. This hack will help mimic having ripe bananas by roasting whole bananas in the oven. It caramelizes the sugars, making the banana much sweeter and “riper” than they were before.

Preparation:

STEP 1.

Preheat the oven to 400*F.

STEP 2.

On a parchment lined baking sheet, lay your bananas flat and roast for 10 minutes. Remove, flip them over and roast another 10 minutes and remove from the oven. Cool for 10 minutes and then slice open to use for banana bread.
