Why go to McDonald’s when you can make their sweet and sour sauce at home within 5 minutes and without all the crappy ingredients like corn syrup?!?

I am a big fan of looking at popular sauces and making copycat versions that are healthier and easy to make. I look up all the ingredients, test out different measurements and techniques, and find the perfect combination. It is a fun experiment and trial and error for me that I really enjoy.

For this sweet and sour sauce I leave out the crappy ingredients like corn syrup, and replace with natural sweeteners like the apricot jam and pineapple juice. I found that it really doesn’t even need the corn syrup, but you tell me!
